How do I submit a work order?

The first thing you need is access to the SCS On-Line Ordering System, https://reaction.scs.uiuc.edu/.

If you don’t have an account set up, send an email to scs-procreimb [at] scs [dot] illinois [dot] edu with your NetID and which group or department you are in. Once you have an account, go back to https://reaction.scs.uiuc.edu/ , login, go to Shops, Add Work Order, choose cees (cees stands for computer and electronic services). Enter as much detail as possible. When you are finished filling out the form, press Create at the bottom of the page.

 

Security, Password Scramble while traveling

"I just received notice that my password was scrambled due to it being compromised. I'm actually traveling right now."

Campus Security will reset passwords any time that the alerts fit a pattern of abuse.

Some suggestions to prevent your password being scrambled in the future:

1) Make sure you use the University's CISCO Anyconnect VPN available on the Webstore and not a 3rd party vendor.
2) If you do decide to use a different VPN or a proxy server, you should avoid logging into University services.
3) Do not share your credentials with anyone else (friends, family members, etc). Activity from two disparate locations at the same time looks suspicious.
4) Make sure you have your recovery options set at https://go.illinois.edu/password before you travel.
